Novo Timber were appointed to provide the full timber frame package for this residential project in East Devon, from detailed design and manufacture through to supply and erection on site.

A hybrid panel specification was selected to balance buildability, programme and thermal performance. This approach utilised factory-fitted PIR insulation within an open panel system, allowing key elements to be installed under controlled factory conditions, while retaining flexibility on site.

The panels were then completed with a secondary layer of PIR installed on site, enabling the design team to fine-tune the overall U-value and airtightness strategy in line with the project’s energy performance targets.

Early coordination with the client team and other trades helped streamline interfaces, reduce on-site risk, and maintain programme certainty, particularly around service routes and detailing at junctions.
