about us

At Novo Timber, we’re revolutionising sustainable construction through innovative timber frame solutions. As specialists in design, manufacturing, and erection of high-performance timber structures, we combine technical excellence with environmental responsibility. Our ISO 9001 and CATG Framemark certifications underscore our unwavering commitment to quality. We believe in collaborative partnerships, working closely with architects, developers, and self-builders to create energy-efficient buildings that stand the test of time. From our facility in Exeter, we’re not just building structures – we’re crafting a more sustainable future for construction, one timber frame at a time.

why timber framing?

Environmental
Excellence

Timber frame stands as the construction industry’s only truly renewable building solution. Each structure actively fights climate change – every cubic metre of timber used saves 0.8 tonnes of CO2. With managed forests continuously replanting more trees than harvested, choosing timber frame means choosing a sustainable future in construction.

Superior Thermal
Performance

Experience exceptional energy efficiency through timber’s natural insulation properties. These buildings exceed current regulations, heat faster, and maintain temperature better than traditional construction. The result? Comfortable living spaces and significantly reduced energy bills throughout the year.

Speed and
Efficiency

Time matters in construction. Timber frame buildings achieve wind and watertight status in just 4-5 days. With no wet trades or drying periods, follow-on work starts immediately. This means faster project completion, reduced labor costs, and earlier occupancy dates.

Design
Flexibility

From contemporary homes to commercial spaces, timber frame adapts to any architectural vision. Compatible with all cladding materials and enabling distinctive architectural features, it offers unlimited design possibilities while respecting local aesthetics.

Quality and
Durability

Factory-controlled manufacturing ensures precision and consistency in every component. This controlled environment, combined with professional installation, results in buildings with minimal maintenance needs and superior structural stability.

Financial
Advantages

Faster build times mean quicker returns on investment. Weather-resistant construction reduces delays, while streamlined processes cut site costs. The result is predictable timelines and improved project cash flow.

Building
Standards

Fully compliant with all planning authorities and building regulations, timber frame construction comes with standard mortgage availability and warranty provider recognition. It’s a trusted, proven method in UK construction with decades of successful implementation.

ready to start?

when did we start?

Before machines and factory floors, there was craftsmanship. Working directly with timber on construction sites, we mastered the intricacies of frame building piece by piece. This invaluable experience revealed the secrets of what makes a perfect panel – knowledge that now forms the heart of our manufacturing process. Every challenge we faced and solved on sites has shaped our approach to precision manufacturing.

2023 - the vision

In 2023, we embarked on an ambitious mission: to create a sustainable timber framing company that would set new standards across the South West. Our goal was simple yet bold – to deliver fast, high-quality assured timber framing that would support both individual dreamers and larger-scale developers.

A Place to Call Home (June 2024)

A major milestone arrived in June 2024 when we moved into our new home at Greendale Business Park, near Exeter. This modern facility became the heartbeat of our operations, enabling us to create and develop high-quality timber frames with impressive turnaround times.

First Steps to Success (July-August 2024)

July marked a proud moment as we completed our first timber frame in the factory. Shortly after, in August, we reached another milestone by completing our first installation at Hillcrest View, bringing our vision of efficient, sustainable construction to life.

Setting the Standard (October 2024)

In less than six months of trading, we achieved  both CATG Framework and ISO 9001 certification. These certifications validate our commitment to quality, covering everything from design and manufacture to sales, storage, and distribution of our open wall panel timber frame buildings.

Today We continue to grow and innovate, serving Devon and expanding across the South West. Our commitment remains unchanged: delivering sustainable, high-quality timber frames that help create better homes and a better future.
