ON SITE | 4 SEMI-DETACHED THREE-STOREY HOMES
Novo Timber were delighted to be appointed by Warvena Construction to design, manufacture and supply the timber-frame superstructure for a collection of four high-quality semi-detached homes.
Each property, arranged over three storeys, features a generous kitchen and dining space to the rear, carefully positioned to take advantage of the far-reaching views across Carnsew Pool, while providing flexible, well-proportioned accommodation throughout.
The superstructure incorporates engineered POSI-Joists and POSI-Rafters, providing long spans, reduced structural depths and clear service zones. This approach supports efficient coordination of services, improved buildability on site and enhanced thermal and acoustic performance — all key considerations for modern residential development.
Manufactured in our Exeter workshop, the timber-frame panels were produced under controlled conditions with a strong emphasis on quality, accuracy and sustainability. Off-site manufacture enabled tighter tolerances, reduced material waste and a more predictable programme on site, giving the developer greater certainty of cost and delivery.
The Warvena erection team were delighted with the standard of panels delivered, noting the minimal corrections required and the ease and speed of assembly. Each panel was individually checked, quality-tagged and signed off prior to shipment, giving complete confidence that every element arrived exactly as intended — or, as one of the installation team described it… “bobbers.”
Novo Timber’s commitment to quality resulted in a prompt and efficient installation programme, helping to de-risk the build phase and reduce time on site. We look forward to sharing images of the completed project.
